Empower School offers continued education experiences that focus on leadership development, one-on-one mentorship, and increased responsibility in the day-to-day operations of organic farm management. Internships are especially suited to those looking to build a career in regenerative farming or agricultural missions.
Nurturing the next generation of organic farmers through sustainable agriculture practices and Christian discipleship.
Guests, Students, and Interns all enjoy complimentary accommodation in our newly constructed dorm on Valley Dream Farm. On track to be completed by November 25th.
Additional facilities include the Christian Community Center at Valley Dream Farm, which will be used to host agricultural lectures, a farmers market, community events, and more.
Empower School is led by Buddy Walker, who founded and successfully led a similar venture in Central Florida for the past 12 years.
Read about buddy's experienceWe are proud to partner with the following organizations to provide an enriching and well-rounded educational experience that benefits students and WWOOFers alike.
Partner with usDuring the winter, days get short and there can be extended cloudy periods. Long periods of cold weather (below 20°F) are uncommon. During the summer, daily high temperatures are around 85°F, rarely falling below 74°F or exceeding 94°F. The highest daily average high temperature is 88°F on July 21.
Participants need to have graduated high school (usually 18 years old or older, though in some cases we have had 17 year old high school grads start the program).
While our faith is aligned with the Lausanne Covenant, Empower School at Valley Dream Farm is non-denominational. We believe we must all work together to complete the Great Commission.
Farming learning only takes place Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 12:30pm. Students will have class time in the afternoons and on Tuesday evenings. Weekends and all other weekday evening are available for personal activities. One weekend a month, Empower School will organize an activity such as camping, hiking, or kayaking that all participants are invited (but not required) to attend.
Unfortunately, Guests and Students are not allowed to bring pets.
Empower at Valley Dream Farm is fully committed to sustainable farming practices. We support the Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) program and its mission to spread sustainable agriculture practices through hands-on agricultural training and farming experience.
In addition, we teach discipleship, community development, outdoor survival skills, world missions, and more. See our full curriculum for more information.
